Rachel Amado Bortnick is a native of Izmir, Turkey and the founder of Ladinokomunita, an online group of Ladino speakers dedicated to language preservation and promotion. She spent her career as an ESL-English teacher for first generation immigrants to the United States, and is a proud social member of the Sephardic Jewish Brotherhood of America.
